In Memory
On Memorial Day weekend, the church down the road sets up flags all down the front and all down the back of their cemetery. There are quite a few veterans buried, there, with a memorial to two young men of the church who didn't make it home from WWII.
The flag display is always an impressive sight, so I drove down Sunday afternoon to snap a few pictures and just have a quiet look...
Normally I would have walked, but it was starting to look like rain...
(I'm not superstitious, but the last time I went down and took a picture of this graveyard, my dad had a stroke the next day)
...who would have thought terrible storms were in the forecast and...people would perish that very evening.
(I still miss my dad, by the way)
The clouds were rolling in...thunder could be heard despite a small patch of blue sky still visible.

Bubbly cloud that seemed close enough to touch...
...but it was just north of Waterloo, 50 miles away.
The sunset of a storm-killing day

I'm glad that you missed the worst storms. We should be getting some here in north Texas this evening.
"Hey" Tank :-)
I noticed that one farms that was hit had all their horses survive because they were out in the pasture and NOT in the barn that collapsed.
