Out Ioway

My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of Heaven and earth,
He will not let your foot slip-
He who watches over you will not slumber.

Purses and Plants: the buying and killing continues

The Master Gardener (Intern)....strikes again.
You'll just have to trust me that it looked great up until two days ago. Then I glanced at it yesterday and....*WHAM*....another dark blot on an already sketchy houseplant record.

To be perfectly fair though, it was quite attractive for 4 weeks. And it is a tropical plant.

Personally, I think it came from inferior stock.

Let's move on to more exciting things, shall we?

Today I walked into Goodwill and saw the purse of my dreams...
...dreams pretty much involving anything bigger than what I am now using, which is on the right.

You can see that it (in crocheted beige) is hardly workable, with critical items veritably bulging out the top. I have lived through the harrowing experience of upsetting the dark chocolate more than once, I can tell you!

In addition, my new bag--besides having the distinction of the "Kathie Lee" logo emblazoned in real, fake gold--is not only larger but has helpful dividers inside.

This is vital, since my keys kept falling to the bottom, necessitating my taking half of the contents out to look for them, or more importantly, my small bottle of sanitizer lotion.

Derek's comment when he saw it: "Is that a purse or a briefcase?"

PAH! What do men know? All they have to carry around is a dinky billfold, which they purposely keep short on money so it isn't too thick and then....THEN, they don't have to take you out to eat.

The real hidden secret of this world is that when men DO acquire more stuff to carry with them, they finally break down and get married, so the wife can put the extras in her purse.

ANYWAY, with this new model, I'm pretty sure I can safely put in my wallet, my sanitizer lotion, a small container of hand lotion (it's winter and very drying), my notebook with all my important lists, a bag of chocolates, my camera, keys, Kleenex and whatever else I might need.

I could even throw in a roll of duct tape, just in case I have to repair the car or somethin'.

Merry Christmas to me :-)

Merry Christmas, indeed!
Did you throw in a pen or two?
I would need dental floss.
Is a comb a necessity anymore?
Well...I got a nice wallet for Christmas, just perfect with all the compartments I need, and I think it may have come from Goodwill or the Special Place (I can't tell you about that one it's a secret) The kids that gave this gift are very creative shoppers. I totally approve.

Oh right...a brush, by all means! And yes, there is at least one pen.

Never carried dental floss, but my purse has been known to house a pair of knee-high hose in case I wanted to try on shoes and was only wearing sandals or flip flops :-)

Phone--don't forget your phone! And yeah, I always carry dental floss even in my micro-sized purse. It doubles for rope if you ever need to tie up a would-be thief, but then, I guess your duct tape could work for that, too.

Phone...YES. I do carry the cell phone with me.

But floss....no. I have never carried floss in my purse.

And that could explain why I don't have any friends.
