As we wait...

...for the girls to arrive back this evening, a few contemplations from the desk of Ma:

• November and December have WAY too many festive opportunities. By January, people are so sick of food that everything pretty much seems tasteless. I'm about ready to pay people to eat up the fudge.
  
  
• Do not be deceived by online recipes that claim to be "fun" and "easy."
  
  
• The other name for "Turkish Delight" is "Lokum," which as we all can see, must be related to the word, "loco," as in, "anyone-who-tries-to-make-this-glorified-finger-jello-is-nuts."
  
  
• An extended hibernative sleep for humans would be the perfect solution to the double needs of sleep and weight loss. C'mon, techno wizards...let's get started!
  
  
• Furnace company guys who come and fix the resonance problem in the heat pumps will only manage to keep things quiet for 2 days. On the bright side, how many people have heat pumps that double as pitch pipes? (it's the "B" below low "C")
  
  
• If you leave the Legos out long enough, boys will make guns and they will have shootouts in your house. Usually while you are napping.
