In other news, Ma went shopping yesterday. Derek informed me he was going along so he could get in as much driving experience as possible.

He also put in applications at McDonald's and Dairy Queen. I brought two books to read in case I had to wait, but between running a few errands and returning, I barely had time to read more than a few paragraphs.

Nice going, Derek.

Plus, he now knows the secret entry code to the Green Dragon Lady Lincoln, so the sooner we can ship him off to college, the safer I'll feel.

In the weather front, rain continues to fall and the younger kids eagerly await the arrival of their test scores. It's a make or break year for a certain someone, so whether additional storm clouds hover in the distance...we wait....we wonder...we bites our nails.

If the scholastic stuff doesn't work out, they could always get a job in the circus.
