Out Ioway

My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of Heaven and earth,
He will not let your foot slip-
He who watches over you will not slumber.

That Grainy Feeling

It often happens that the day following one of great production, ends up being of very little use.

As it is with this Tuesday, though I s'ppose the migraine that seems to drift in and out with the tide doesn't help.

So glad we were able to get a ton of yard work accomplished on Monday. The rains came in the afternoon and then the evening and then overnight, heralded by the kind of thunderous cracks that make for poor sleepage.

Today we have more threat of rain and also severe weather.

I plan to compensate by preparing a scalloped potato and ham casserole and watching the news in a reclining position (the reclining does not apply to fixing supper).

This morning's humorous interlude came while Trevor was reading aloud The Little Farm by Lois Lenski. The lad, formerly known as "Sweetie Baby Bunny Boy," threw in an ad lib during Farmer Small's morning chores:

"He milks the cows...

and then he eats them!"

*much boyish giggling*

At least the milk was got before the cows were "done in."
