Sorry, Sorry, Sorry
Know I haven't posted in a day or two, but we have been working the land like crazy peoples.
Loren and I are plumb tuckered out, from different projects. He was out much of yesterday and today, working on a platform for the boys atop one of the swing set/utility pole/posts.
And I was getting a bed ready for transplanting roses and mowing, mowing mowing.
Today was not that friendly with us, with a dew point of 72 and heat index of 97. Ma had to implement her Lawrence of Arabia cloth diaper tucked into the hat, effect.
It was brutal
There will be before and after pictures, but that will have to wait.
As well getting the bed fixed up and planted, Ethan and I mowed yesterday and I mowed all the far lawn today.
Can you say, "SORE ALL OVER." ?
Including the place where I fell when pulling the mower backwards, tripping over a wooden post and falling onto a 3 inch diameter metal pipe that sticks out of the ground. I think it's supposed to be a quaint boundary marker, but baby, that thing hurt!
Luckily I have a fair amount of padding where it hit. And thankfully, I didn't land on my spine.
Now we await the storms...
