Introducing....

Thrasher Cam!

Yes, we have a nest full of Brown Thrasher eggs: five, to be exact. I would have posted  earlier, and with accompany pictures of the mother bird, but Blogger has been completely uncooperative with posting photos.

That this one got on is probably a mistake on their part. The person who's assignment it is to deny my photos must have looked away for a second and in that brief moment I was able to upload a picture....oh well.

More on the nest and eggs, later (I hope)

Today has been very full. Not long after the kids went off to VBS I loaded up my lunch and tools and took myself to the Butler County Courthouse.

There I did battle with the binderwee-of-evil for more than two hours, And then worked my way across the various parts of the north side of the building. Six hours in all and my, am I whipped!

But if you're going to drive 25 minutes to work on a project, you may as well make it worthwhile.

Seems to me I did this last year during Vacation Bible School.

It is really nice being able to plan my day without any school responsibilities. Tomorrow I'll get back to work in the kitchen, delving into corners that have not been seen for....awhile.

Only two more days and then Carolyn takes the ACT a second time on Saturday. Her prep with Anna Scholl went quite well, I thought, so we'll see what happens.

I can hardly lift my fingers to type, so I think it's time to go soak my aging corpus in the tub and veg out on the couch.

I'll be needing a rest to work up strength to go to bed.
