Out Ioway

My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of Heaven and earth,
He will not let your foot slip-
He who watches over you will not slumber.

Oh yes......

....I was going to explain something from last night's post. (not to be confused with this morning's poetic rant)

Originally, we were to stay up in Rochester until shortly after noon today, due to one 45 minute NebuPent treatment having to be scheduled today, instead of yesterday. (It's not that we didn't have time, they couldn't schedule it, for some reason)

But, as they say in renowned literary circles, ANYWHO, we were prepared to stay for one more day, having made motel reservations for two nights. But, HARK, we were hit with dread, when we realized we had left the little vial of Pentamadine at home! Oh woe! To think that we had erred in such a way! For, after all, it is clearly marked on the orders that we received today. Yes, I am talking TODAY! Mayo neglected to drop them in the mail until Monday, the day we drove up. Now, I am in awe of the U.S. Postal system just as much as the next guy, but methinks this just a tad late.

But getting back to "the situation of dread", we sorted through various contingency plans. We could leave Loren there and have me drive back home and bring it up the next day. We could try and finagle some drugs from the Mayo Pharmacy, which is loath to allow you anything if you already have it at home. Or, we could hope to get refunded the second motel night and both go home. We opted for the latter, reasoning that the extra gas would still cost less than one more night at the motel.

It was then that "Ma" jumped into action and tore over to the motel to retrieve our gear five minutes before checkout time.

The day was completed, and we drove off into the sunset, arriving home with the usual fanfare of young children throwing themselves upon us :-)

Immediately, I sought to retrieve the forgotten med, only to discover it was nowhere. Upon checking the records, Loren found "someone" had forgotten to order the prescription. I won't go into detail as to who's fault this was, other than to say that, as usual, Loren and I are totally without blame.

However, I DO think all this is part of the reason I am fighting off a migraine. Oh yes, I really do....
