What to do when the cheapo wading pool has developed so many cracks that it can best be used as a colander?

Time to improvise.
 
We have LOTS of these Blue Bunny ice cream buckets. (It's not so much of a "Ma buys too much ice cream" kinda thing, it's more of a "secretive plastic procreative process" that takes place in the cupboards at night. I suspect it also involves missing socks from the dryer but I haven't been able to prove that part, yet)

So, Ma took the hose and nozzle, poked it up through the bottom of an ice cream bucket, braced 'er up with three bricks on the bottom--which not only holds the hose in place, but provides space for the curve of the hose--as well as a few brick remnants in-side the bucket, to prop the nozzle upright. It doesn't have to be perfect, just spray water around for random good water fun-ness.

The boys decided to wear their muscle shirts....
  
...with mixed results.

Another advantage is not having to keep such a close eye on things, since to my knowledge, no one ever drowned in a sprinkler.
