Life in the Yard

This time of year makes it difficult to find pretty flowers. Many are past their optimum bloom time, and the weeds have taken over the ditches, not to mention my garden.

Here is a little hardy geranium, a holdout amongst the greenery.
 
Life:  A blend of sunshine and shadow.

(A better photographer would have decreased the exposure. A humble one doesn't mind telling you she forgot. As it is always difficult to choose between humility and proficiency, I prefer the less showy of the two :-)

Carolyn's "Heavenly Blue" morning glories volunteered themselves for another year of duty.
  
They seem to live up to their name quite admirably.
