Hmmmmm
The scene: while 5 and 7-year-old boys play contentedly with Legos in an adjoining room, an aged matron peels oranges for the imminent lunch, all the while musing to herself about the chances of getting away...if not soon, then in a mere 13 years when the last child graduates...)
The oldest boy is heard to exclaim, "I'm so happy, Mommy!"
*comes over and hugs his mother and gives her a kiss on the cheek*
"We're having lots of fun!"
"Oh? I guess getting along and playing nicely can be pretty good, after all."
*7-year-old walks back to Lego table*
"Yes, but it's hard being a child."
"Well, what's the hardest thing?"
"Oh...making stuff, writing, and doing what your mother says."

And it only gets harder...
Though I'd probably better not tell him that :-)
