Together Again

My, am I tired of sitting in that car! Especially since the cruise control went out the first trip up on Monday. We had to drive the old-fashioned way, with foot to the pedal.

Loren is feeling a bit better, though still hoarse. The sore throat comes and goes. Mouth is still hurty from the dry (s)ocket business.

The tests haven't shown any special infection, though the results of some are still pending. Most probably Loren reacted more strongly to the same virus the two little boys had.

They are both better, though Trevor still coughs and Nolan is somewhat hoarse.

It's my best judgment that all will live.

Here's a handy tip for staying awake on the way up to Rochester: stop in Osage--the halfway point for us--and get a Hardee's Jalapeno Thickburger, with (at least) a medium-sized drink.

The burning really enhances the alertness factor.

Even if you stop after 4 bites and remove the rest of the peppers, you're still good for 40 more miles of sensational stingsomeness.

Of course, the really FUN part is coming home and immediately having to make supper for the crew...

But mostly, it's just good to have everyone together again :-)

At least, I assume that's how I'll feel once I get rested up enough to experience some type of emotion.
