Out Ioway

My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of Heaven and earth,
He will not let your foot slip-
He who watches over you will not slumber.

"What's for supper?"

At one time I used to write my supper intentions on a white board in the kitchen, to forestall going berserko when 4 people in a row asked that same question.

However, my kitchen scheme doesn't include room for a white board at the moment, which gives me the freedom to be rather creative, or as I like to think of it, "slack off."

Now, in the interest of saving money, I try not to fix a meal with meat, two days in a row. At least, not a lot of meat.

Last night we had a casserole that included a whole pound of hamburger, so tonight calls for something a little less carnivorous.

Glancing at the counter, I see some leftover biscuits from two days ago. I see a partial container of rice that didn't get put away after lunch. I'm thinking about eggs and cheese and even a little baloney, which I acquired quite cheap, last week.

Baloney isn't technically meat, but some of the kids THINK it is, which I'll use to my advantage.

I'm calling it, Baloney Breakfast Casserole Avec Leftovers.

What's the worst that can happen...most of them hate it?

Been there.

Done that.

Don't care.

(if they're nice to me, I'll put a few chunks of turkey ham in tomorrow's bean soup)
