Well...
We seem to have our wireless back :-)
Brisk 25mph winds blew all night and the temperature is just high enough for most of the ice and frost to have melted. Sadly, the fog-of-neverendingness is still here.
In other news, I forgot to post the Friday report of EMM, or Extreme Ma Makeover:
--weight stayed the same, a sure sign that I have bulked up with huge muscles, ha, ha.
Don't much care, as I'd actually been "up" earlier in the week, so staying even is at least better than the travesty of gaining after working so hard and being hungry half the time.
I may take a break from the treadmill for a coupla days, however. Earlier in the week when I was clearing away the fallen branches, I fell on the ice. Didn't seem like that big of a deal, but now my left knee is hurting. I've had to employ the timeless stairs advice of Loren's physical therapist at the University of Iowa Hospitals, "Good leg goes to heaven, bad leg goes to hell."
It's very true. Leading up the stairs with your good leg and starting down with your bad, takes all the pressure of the sore limb. You don't go as fast since you're just doing one step at a time, but it gets the job down without the pain.
There is always something...

Brings back lovely memories of my couple days with a twisted foot. I guess a hurt knee is just about as helpful for getting around. Hope it feels better soon, Mommy.
You know what... I think that's what I ended up doing for stairs too, but after trial and error. Now you gave me a handy way to remember for next time. Thanks. :)
