It's all about power
I can see where this whole Olympics business could work out in my favor.
"What? You want to watch the Games after lunch? Well, I was thinking we need to do some cleaning first...
Or more school....
I could use help shoveling...
Say...how's about you make supper for me?"
The possibilities are endless :-D
Towards the end of my afternoon rest/nap, I heard the distinct sound of a shovel scraping across the driveway. Thinking Ethan had beat me out for chores, I hustled around and got my warmish clothes together.
There wasn't any hurry. The kids were just playing and knocking snow off the wall, a cardinal sin if there ever was one.
They were also jumping off the wall and into the large driveway drift, compacting snow for the job ahead.
When stuff like this happens, you can make them stop playing and start shoveling, or you can get ticked and refuse help and do it yourself.
I chose the latter. I'm just mature, that way.
Amazingly enough, I got through that entire two foot drift, which ran for a length of 30-40 feet, all my myself.
*smirk*
If that doesn't instill guilt in the los kiddos, I don't know what will.
More power.
More power for me.
I win.
