House Reno

Just to give a little update on the outside work that's happnin'....

Loren and Jason extended the eave from the breezeway (on right, with door) all the way across the rest of the addition on the south side. Loren did half with Jason helping, then Jason and Sharon finished the rest.
 With the soffit and gutters on, it gives a nice finished look and should keep some of the water out of the basement.

When Jason went to do the same on the north side, he discovered rotting wood :-(
A couple of things were left undone a few years ago, and Loren's health deteriorated before he could get to them.
 So now they have to tear off some of the siding and replace some panels.

The chipboard is so soft you can just push through with your fingers...
 "ICK!"

On the dead branch of a nearby Ash tree sits an Eastern Kingbird, watching the proceedings. He's been hanging around, lately.
  
Kingbirds are one of my favorites. Very dapper and trim.

Now, Ma goes off to mow and perhaps sweat off a pound or two...
