"Hello. This is a short political survey which will only take a few moments of your time..."
(I KNEW it..RATS!...*glances over at stove*...)
"...do you have anyone definite in mind that you plan to vote for in the upcoming Republican Iowa Caucus?"
*grins and decides to have some fun*
"Yes, Ron Paul."

"R-O-N....P-A-U-L-L-L-L"
"...ok...."
*looks at stove again and forgets second question*
"For our last question...what do you think..."
(..is the single most important issue facing America today..)
"....is the single most important issue facing America today?"
*tries to think of what a Paulite might say and what won't be one of the surveyor's six stock answers*
"Getting back to our constitutionalistic roots."
"....uh...o---kay...*spoken REALLY fast*...ThishasbeenbroughttoyoubyMittRomney. *gasp for air* IfyouhaveanyquestionspleasegotoRommney(blah, blah).com orphone 1-800-blah,blah Romeny."

Yay! That almost makes me sad that I haven't had more pollsters call.
Usually, they're looking for males over the age of 18 in the household, and that's rather difficult for me to meet.
I did get the Huckabee push-poll a few weeks ago, though. That's the one where they ask you (in an automated way, of course. Voice recognition has made its way to political calls) who you support, and if it's not Huckabee, they proceed to tell you something 'bad' about your candidate.
Unfortunately, they didn't bother to include Ron Paul, so it was a massive failure on the 'influence Ardith's vote' front. Not that it wouldn't have been anyway, but I was very amused nonetheless.
I've only got to do 2 phone surveys in my life. Maybe I should move to Iowa.
I keep telling people....Iowa is the happenin' place to be :-)
