Finishing Up Day!

I got the last 2/3 of the lawn done, today. And more importantly for the kids...

The platform is finished!

Loren was working right up until supper, which I conveniently held off even later than usual.
Kids anxiously held their breath on the boring ol' ground.

At last! Time to shinny up the pole...
...as Loren holds the ladder out of the way.

A few instructions on what not to do:
"No shaking, no climbing the sides..."

"Mommy...why don't you come on up?"

"Oh alright...since there's a ladder."

"WHAT? Mommy's coming up! I can't believe it!"

Had to get a picture or two. This is looking down...
...Ah, the lovely curvy corn.

...definitely a room with a view :-)
