Out Ioway

My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of Heaven and earth,
He will not let your foot slip-
He who watches over you will not slumber.

Back on the Line

There has been a major, I repeat, MAJOR realignment of the computer room.

But before that took place, Jason had to clean and shop-vac part of the second floor addition. Those of you who have seen that section, know that this was not a pleasant job. Let's just say, it used to be a bird sanctuary and leave it at that. His allergies were not amused.

That job freed up space to cart away unused paraphernalia from the computer room. Then it was time to start rearranging computers. Everyone's computers except Loren's, that is. This part of the game plan did not start until 4:00 on prayer meeting night. By 4:35 I gave up all thoughts of leaving the house. It was obvious that someone had to stand by on dust bunny patrol. I mean, the menfolk had made NO plans WHATSOEVER for cleanup. They were just going to move things. I carefully stayed in the background, ready to dart in and out at lightning speed with the sweeper. There were places that had not been cleaned for years, due to inaccessability. I think it is safe to say that the Lego's have been replenished.

They would clear one corner, and then I would zip in to catch the cobwebs. I sent Carolyn in with the lemon scented Pledge to hit the baseboards. When it was all done, we had a nicely neatened room, with nine computers all along two walls. We had no network connection, but at least it all smelled lemony fresh.

The network came back up the next morning, after the new "network card" was replaced by an old one, and an emergency tech support call was put in to Ardith. (thanks, old girl. Hope they won't mind at your new job if we call you from time to time. Heh, heh)

After that, Blogger was down most of the day, preventing any posts. No matter, though, for we were gone for five hours hitting two towns, two libraries, three stores, and lotsa wind. You have never had fun until you have driven a 15 passenger van during a wind advisory. But, that was NOTHING compared to driving a 15 passenger van over the Mississippi during a wind warning and a snow squall. *shudders* It was two years ago, but it's all so........so....... vivid...."sniff" *reaches for chocolate*

Well, duty calls. Now that we have new library books I feel hard pressed to come up with an excuse not to read.

But first, I have to get Trevor in his shoes and socks for bed. This is his latest little fad. For some reason, he thinks this important. I guess I could draw the line and absolutely forbid it, but one hates to make a big deal out of little things. I am just happy that, as a boy, he expresses an interest in wearing shoes. We can worry about the time of day, later.

Mind wandering......must go.......
