Out Ioway

My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of Heaven and earth,
He will not let your foot slip-
He who watches over you will not slumber.

The Ma Side

Looking back over his life, Rocky began to feel immense regret for stealing the sweet corn from the mouths of the poor little Hoyt children

Ohhh... he's just a raccoon that. Raccoon's only steal and mutilate the corn that we labored to weed through torchorous hours in the sun, only to find that it didn't grow well and the raccoons
took most of it before it was even near ready.

You have to bear in mind, Derek, that mothers have to believe in work for nothing... it's part of their training or something. The sad part of this equation is that just because they accept the futility of much of their own labor, they expect you to labor in vain as well. Sounds kinda goofy... but then you... well, that was usually the point where I refused to do pointless work (like mowing the grass that would just grow back) and got myself into trouble.

Actually, many a thing that you may think is work for nothing is really accomplising something. Mowing the grass creates a better appearance. While weeding the corn, and then only to see it disappear later, is working for nothing.
