Spring Breaks, But Not For Us.....

Yes, that's right. It may be spring break for the college kids, but homeschoolers are made of tougher stuff. Or, it could just be that a certain amount of sustained academic exhaustion makes for an easier life. For me :-) *pops a chocolate* No spring or Easter break, no snow days, and no teachers's conference days. (I just confer with myself, and for some strange reason, I always come out ahead)

We have been busy little bees trying to clean and pick up. It won't be perfect, but who are we trying to impress? Ardith? I'm afraid she's lived with us too long. Heather? She has visited twice and has become enured to our ways. Nope. We've made a stab at every room in the house and that's good enough for one week. The master bedroom is still pretty, uh, "needy," but I figure we have to have some place to dump all the stuff from the other rooms! I'll get to it one of these days. *pops another chocolate*

And to think, I only had to change the sweeper belt twice. Now, if I could just get it to stop giving off that smoky, hot smell.......

[OK. Never, I repeat, NEVER buy a Bissel sweeper. I guess one can't expect too much from a 45 dollar cheapo which is primarily made of plastic. But, I DO think it reasonable not to go through 2 belts in one day. After the final breakage, I was forced to finish one carpet on my hands and knees with the "tools" attachment. *sigh* I'd sue, but I'm saving up for more sweeper belts....]
