The Passing of a Saint

Only a few are called to lives of renown.
Most simply plod along.
Meting out that which is necessary for each day.
Through their time,
Their love,
Their work….
And all the simple acts of living.
And while we note the passing of a giant,
Laud and praise his noble works…
The modest, ordinary man, who
Quietly fulfills the tasks of each God-given day,
Enjoys the pleasure of his Father, just as much.
No flash of glory marks his passing.
No famous people stand in state.
And why he faded slowly,
Understanding not the pain,
For himself,
And for his family…
We can never comprehend.
But God, the heavenly Father
Welcomes home the faithful saint.
Rest, so purely bought
By the offering of His Son. Tweet
