Introducing: Poppi the talking Cottonwood, or, "Life Through the Branches"
This is Poppi, an Eastern Cottonwood rescued from a ditch and transplanted north of our house.
Poppi has a unique perspective on the world and will be sharing it with us from time to time.
"It's cold. And snowy. Both beautiful and blue.
I've been around for a few years but the first snow always shocks me. No less this year, coming with storm and accumulating surprise.
It happened a couple weeks ago and I'm stilling trying to decide whether the world is mostly blue, white, or some of both.
One thing I do know: moving is limited and usually comes by way of wind (which can be uncomfortable). But I can gaze at the world around me. Right now I see winter blues, which always look better from a distance." Tweet
